Voucher Rules

How Zacha vouchers work and what counts as a completed redemption.

Last reviewed: May 2026

These terms are provided for transparency and should be reviewed before full public launch.

How a Zacha voucher works

Zacha vouchers are digital — there is no physical card or printed coupon. Here is how the process works step by step:

  1. You find an offer on the Zacha app from a participating local business.
  2. You reveal your voucher code by tapping "Get this deal" on the offer page. A unique code is generated for you.
  3. You visit the business and show your voucher code to the staff.
  4. The business or staff confirms the voucher in their Zacha partner or staff app.
  5. You confirm that you received the discount in the Zacha app.
  6. Your savings are recorded after you confirm receipt.

What counts as a completed redemption

A redemption is only counted as complete — and savings are only tracked — after you confirm you received the discount. Earlier stages in the process do not count as final savings:

  • Generated voucher — a code has been created but not yet confirmed by the business
  • Partner/staff confirmed — the business has confirmed the code, but you have not yet confirmed the discount
  • Customer confirmed — you have confirmed you received the discount. This is the final saved state.

Only customer-confirmed redemptions appear in your savings history.

Voucher availability

  • Vouchers are only available for approved and active offers
  • Paused or rejected offers cannot be redeemed
  • Some offers may have a per-user redemption limit — this is shown on the offer page
  • If a limit applies, you may not be able to redeem the same offer again once you reach it
  • Offer availability is set by the individual business and may change at any time

Business responsibility

Businesses are responsible for honouring their published offers. By listing on Zacha, businesses agree to accept valid voucher codes from customers. However, Zacha cannot guarantee that a specific business will honour a voucher in every circumstance.

If a business refuses to honour a valid voucher, you can report the issue through the support section of the app. Zacha takes such reports seriously.

No cash value

Zacha vouchers have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. They entitle the holder to a specific discount as described in the offer, subject to the business honouring the deal.

Voucher misuse

Attempting to misuse, duplicate, or fraudulently create Zacha vouchers is a breach of our Acceptable Use Policy. This may result in account suspension.

Issues with a voucher

If you have an issue with a voucher — for example, a business refused to accept it, or the discount was incorrect — please use the support section of your Zacha account to report the issue. We aim to review all reports and follow up where possible.
